Councilmember Yolanda Adrean introduced William Johnson as a Deputy Chief Operating Officer and now Commissioner of Public Works.
Johnson has been in Atlanta for nine months. He was hired as Deputy Chief Operating Officer. During part of that time, he served for five months as Watershed Commissioner. He has also been involved in transportation and 311. He recently took over Public Works on a fulltime basis. He said Public Works deals with just about everything in the right of way:
